Writing as Voice, Memory and Stage
Writing, for Gianfranco "Onatzirò" Obinu, means giving voice to what remains unresolved: a memory that returns, a hidden sorrow, an ordinary gesture that suddenly reveals a deeper truth.
His works exist at the crossroads of fiction, theatre and music. They move with the uneven rhythm of memory, breathe with the life of the stage, and follow the cadence of a voice that seeks not merely to tell stories, but to be heard.
In his writing, comedy can suddenly fracture into the unsettling, irony can open onto the abyss, and a personal story can become a question shared by us all.
Identity, roots, migration, violence, belonging and absence are themes he explores without seeking comforting shortcuts. His writing looks at humanity where it is most exposed—where people must confront what they have lost, what they have built, and what they have chosen not to see.
